Banquet table linens – When guests are seated, they should not be in front of a mountain of dishes. We will never put more than three plates on top of each other, especially if they are flat. For “presentation” with a single dish there is enough, but there is one exception: deep dish, this one can be put on top of plain from beginning of meal. Placed two centimeters from edge of table, all dishes play a role. Presentation dish is used as a base for rest of dishes and only when cheese or coffee is removed.
Deep dish is used for soups and plain for main dishes; finally, we will dispose plate for bread up and to left of main dish. We repeat it for last time: fork goes to left and knife to right. And to make it even better, tips of fork should remain face down, in contact with banquet table linens, and saw knife facing dish.
Knife rack is only used in family dinners because it shows that we do not intend to change cutlery between plates. If, even so, we decide to place them, we will not put knife on top when presenting banquet table linens. Define place of guests with small cards made with cardboard and a rope attached to some branches of some of aromatic herbs.
