Silver Flatware – Fine flatware is a waste if we keep it in a drawer. And do not worry if you think using it will ruin it because there are tips on caring for and cleaning flatware that will keep them clean longer. In a dinner with friends, a family evening or a romantic night of two, you cannot miss the most luxurious flatware in the house. But even the best-dressed table can be overshadowed when dishes have characteristic marks of time.
To avoid those uncomfortable details, there are always cleaning and conservation tricks. When it comes to setting the table elegantly, prepare a soft cloth (white cotton, preferably) and mix two parts of medicinal alcohol with a part of water. Moisten the cloth or cloth in the liquid, and review the silver flatware one by one, to clean them, disinfect them, and remove the marks of water or the passage of time.
If you can, use fabric gloves to perform this work, so as not to leave traces. After using silver flatware, soak them in hot water and wash with detergent and warm water. Dry with a soft cloth all the details and interstices, to avoid stripes and stains. Then wrap it in gauze or soft cloth and carry it inside a plastic bag of a hermetic seal, thus avoiding that they are dirty of dust and that receive the humidity of the environment.
