Drinking water faucet – Water conditioners help homeowners deal with hard water problems. When too much water containing dissolved calcium and magnesium can coat the body during a shower and these minerals from the soap stop correctly. Hard water also interferes with the cleaning detergent in the washing machine. Water conditioners remove these minerals, and some devices also capture iron.

Water conditioning must be attached to the main water line in the house if you want each drinking water faucet to produce softened water. Check your home for a pre-trough loop to connect the water conditioner. Disconnect the fuel or power source your water heater. Add media conditioning or salt pellets into the tank. Many units come pre-filled with these materials, so check the manual to determine if this step is necessary.
